Content Policy

At My Black Gallery (MBG), we’re committed to uplifting Black-owned businesses while maintaining the highest standards of integrity, privacy, and respect for intellectual property. This policy outlines how we collect, use, and share content related to businesses featured on our platform.

1. Business Listings and Articles

MBG showcases businesses through:

  • Written articles detailing their history, values, and offerings.

  • Listings that include business names, locations, and contact details.

  • Images, logos, and other branded content provided or approved by the business.

We aim to represent each business accurately and positively.

2. Permissions and Collaboration

To foster trust and respect:

  • We seek written permission to feature businesses, use brand images/logos, and share their publicly available information.

  • Businesses are encouraged to provide additional details or corrections to ensure accuracy.

  • Participation is voluntary, and businesses can opt out at any time.

3. Use of Public Information

In some cases, MBG may reference publicly available information (e.g., from official websites, press releases, or social media). This is used under “fair use” principles for informational and promotional purposes. However, MBG:

  • Will notify businesses before publishing.

  • Will not use copyrighted or trademarked content (e.g., logos, professional photos).

4. Intellectual Property

  • All content created by MBG, including articles, graphics, and listings, is owned by MBG and may not be reproduced without our consent.

  • We respect the intellectual property of featured businesses and require their permission to use any proprietary content.

5. Privacy and Data Protection

  • MBG only collects and shares information that is relevant to promoting featured businesses.

  • We do not collect sensitive data or share contact details without consent.

  • Businesses may request corrections or removal of content at any time.
